Hey. you need to make sure your ASIO driver is enabled. to do this, go to "options" at the top of the screen and go down to "system/audio". This will open a box. at the top should be an option for ASIO driver. click that one. Go down to ASIO setup and select your ASIO device. Lastly, at the bottom, turn monitoring mode to software or software FX monitoring.

Same here.  Solution proposed by akemp07 seems incomplete and didn't solve problem.  Actual path to settings described by akemp07 is File> Settings>Program Settings> Audio/MIDI.  Selecting the Magix Low-latency 2008 ASIO driver causes Music Maker 15 demo to terminate abnormally.

Press "Y", ( or go to file, settings, ...)
go to the "folders" tab and click the "reset vst plugins" button

that did the trick for me ;)

I don't know why this is happening but I did find a solution to the problem earlier today in my own struggle to get it working!

I dug around in my filesystem until I found the VITA folder at this location

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MAGIX\MusicMaker15_Download-version\Synth\Vita

All of the neccessary dll's and files were in this folder so I knew it had to be the real thing... but now we have to make MAGIX recognise it!

As kind of a last resourt I copied the VITA folder (all of its contents) over to this directory on my filesystem

C:\Program Files\MAGIX\MusicMaker15_Download-version\Synth

After restarting the software I was able to select the soundpool items and the synths inside my MIDI editor that used to throw the "Failed to load VST Plugin Vita.dll" just fine. Looks like MAGIX knows its there now :)

As a side note, the vita synthesizer icon does not show up in the program... i'm not sure if that is intentional or not but I find it inconvenient.

This release of MAGIX has freaked me out more than the ones in the past... I thought I spent all this money for no synthesizers or sound loops at all... MAGIX does not tell you that you need to go download the content packages in any obvious way. They really should include it with the initial install of the software so that the customer feels like they got what they payed for when its installed.

anyway, Hope this helps everyone else!!! It helped me and now I can finally utilize these sounds in my music ;)

FACT..you do not need ASIO for vita.

its seems you have been mis informed.

i run VITA without ASIO.

asio is only good for bad pc ram and memory holes.

ASIO4ALL was specially developed as an accessible and lightweight low latency ASIO driver for WDM audio devices.

ASIO4ALL makes use of WDM Kernel-Streaming and other sophisticated methods to achieve its objectives.

Make an effort to take back control over blocked ("unavailable") audio devices.
· Fix minor resource leak.
· Fix regression in 2.11 Beta 1: Function of the "Always Resample" checkbox was inverted.
· Remove excess outputlatency under the followingconditions: (1)64 bit host (2)upsampling 44.1 -> 48kHz (3)WaveRT polling mode.
· Fix output audio glitches in 64 bit version when upsampling by integral factor.
· Fix a4apanel64 crash on exit (not that anyone would have noticed).

i refuse to asio as it CAN cause problems of its own.

Yep, me, too. Thanks, giggdaw; saved me a lot of head scratching and throwing pens across the room in frustration. (Yeah, I know, he posted five years ago, and will probably never see this, but what the hey... ;-)

I think the installation path is too long for windows to handle.

Try reinstalling the program outside of "Program (x86)" like for example in c:/Magix.Then the path to Vita is shorter and should work.
