get back audio from re-install

Your question refers to… Movie Edit Pro

I had to re-instal Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus. Before Un-install, I had sound from my Dazzle Video installer. When I installed the program again I got the Dazzle Video driver but NOT THE AUDIO Driver.  The Driver shows up in Device Mgr as Working. !  the program  states "NO RECORDINGS" I have Windows 7.

Can anyone help me with this problem??? Thank you.

Thank you John.

I finally discovered that the DVC100 Dazzle Drivers were corrupted.  I purchased another different Recording VHS to DVD program with NEW RECORDING DRIVERS.  Now the machine works fine with all programs.  The problem seemed to be Compatability with Windows 7.

Once again Thank you to all who tried to help me.

  Thanks

Hi Mike

Sounds like the same problem I had/have with the DVC150b -which I cannot fix now as I have gone to 64bit Windows 7 and the newer 64bit drivers do not work.

The fact that your normal audio drivers are not recognised by MEP would suggest either the MEP installation is not complete/corrupted or your computer audio drivers have been corrupted.

Uninstall MEP15 and then run the Magix cleanup tool available here http://support2.magix.com/customer/en/download/tools

Then reinstall your computer audio drivers then MEP15.

Hopefully this will sort the problem.

John

John:

I purchased "Instant DVD Recorder Device : HW-SET DVC 100 Rev.1.1, from Pinnacle ( a division of Avid)

I have the install CD that installs the program with the Drivers into my computer. In my Device Manager, it says that everything is working perfectly. I even re-installed this program in my computer. Everything seemed O.K.  I then un-installed Magix MOVIE EDIT PRO 15 PLUS and then re installed My Magix program.  When I brought up the magix program this time, it reconized the Dazzle Video Driver but did not recognize the Dazzle Audio Driver or my computer Autio Driver in the program.........it stated: NO RECORDING when I tried to record a pice of film.  I purchased the Pinacle program from Office Max about a year ago.  As it stands now, I can record Video but Not Audio on Movie Edit Pro 15. My System is Windows 7, Dell.

I stlll have Magix's "FAMILY MOVIE CREATOR" program in my computer which is an earlier version program that functions with the Dazzle unit and shows Video & Audio Drivers as working fully.

John? I think you helped me out once before with a problem with Magix. I didn't get to thank you before but I do thank you now for any help.

Thank you, Mike
