I CAN'T RECORD FROM MY TAPEDECK INTO AUDIO CLEANING LAB 17,

I have recently purchased Audio Cleaning Lab 17 deluxe. My intention was to transfer my audio cassettes to cd.

I connected my tape deck accordingly and attempted to record the tapes.All i get is the message ---THE WAVE SHAPE DEVICE "MICROSOFT SOUND MAPPER" CANNOT RECORD THIS FORMAT. A DEVICE ID HAS BEEN USED THAT IS OUT OF RANGE FOR YOUR SYSTEM. I also get this message when nothing is connected,i suspect that my sound card is not accepting the ingoing signal (could this be possible)? or is there some other explanation ?.

PROCESSOR INTELLL-PENTIUM 4CPU-3.00GHZ--INSTALLED MEMORY 1.25GB--TYPE 32 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM--WINDOWS 7.

To all of you who have tried to answer my problem.

I contacted my local computer repair shop, i took my desktop to him and he downloaded new drivers (don't ask me how) this solved the problem.
