Video and sound are not in sync - is anyone able to solve this common problem?

Hi - I've tried downloading from VHS, but when I come to play it back the sound is out of sync with the vide. It starts off OK, but the further along playback goes the more out of sync it gets. Lots of people have posted about this problem, but no-one seems to have come up with a solution. Can anyone help, or is this package just a load of rubbish!
If you can help, I'd be very grateful, but at the moment it's GRRRRRR!

IMPORT: After import the audio and video are not in sync IMPORT OF MPEG TYPE MATERIAL.

If you are importing MPEG material (eg .VOB, .MPG, .MOD) then you could try:

1. Switch to "Timeline" mode.
2. Right click on the video.
3. Choose "Create (new) frame table"

This video format is very complex and there can be problems during reading. As such, I would suggest creating the new frame table with all MPEG material you import (eg .MPG, .VOB, .MOD), even if errors are not noticeable when you preview the video.
