line on imported picture with movement effect

Your question refers to… Movie Edit Pro

Hi guys,

When importing a picture (jpeg) into Magix Movie Edit Pro MX plus and applying chromakey everything works like a charm when rendered (see left figure below). However when I apply a movement template or key frame movement like the case of chuck norris's head on the right I get "border lines" around the image after rendering.

I am using windows 7 ona lenovo T61.

Please help. I have tried playing with the fading and threshold level of chromakey, also applying interlace filter, antiflicker etc but to no effect. Problem occurs when exporting into any format (wmv, mpeg2 and iphone) but does not appear within preview window of Magix. Thanks for your help!

nikolas,

I wild guess (my MEP MX machine not available just now): Check the pixel dimensions of your Norris overlay and see if you get better results by adding (or removing) a line or two of background pixels. I'd go for anything that is a multiple of four eg 640 x 480, not 639 x 481.

I will try to do some tests here tomorrow,

Carl

ADDED: I can't reproduce this problem in MEP MX using a variety of pixel size images and exporting to mpeg2. What are the dimension of your Norris image? Is it the only one that shows the problem? I've also got win 7 though I'd suspect differences in graphics cards might be more an issue than OS.
