Hello All,
I'm A newbie, when it comes to video , since i've spent most of my time on music. I eventually want to do some bizarre video audio experiments but on the cheap. I still use a Mini Video Camera, have been looking into getting stock and places to prcess 8mm film from my grandfathers Bell and howell Windup 8 mm, so far Kodak seems to be the only place that handles both. Pricing? I can't say. I've been collectong footage so far and have a dvd/vcr recording combo, that I thien rip from the dvd to my pc and play around with. I also use a Logitec webcam, and the short duration filming allowed by an sd digital cam. hoping that all the differing formats will add variety and texture. any tips tricks for a total video semi newbie? I know that that a very broad questioon, but anything will help.
Thanks. Stretcher bearer
Well played! You should be writing the help section. If you get this I'm also trying to figure how to start with the"full" picture and travel from there. It automatically selects about 50% for me and I can't click and drag the box any larger. Thanks. I'm embarrassed to admit how much time I wasted trying to get the movement part.
Hi Ralftaro, thanks very much for the tips on linking. Without helpfull people like yourself a beginner like me would be in a really frustrated state right now. Thanks very much indeed mate. andyk
Ralftaro thank you for your reply to my question regarding getting vidoe from the camera to the pc. It appears that the problem may be to do with the compatability of my Firewire card. So I have ordered a firewire card that is Vista compatable which the manufactures assure me it would be suitable for downloading video from both of my video camera's. Thank you for your asisstance.
