. . . . I am trying to finish a new video that requires an "Activation code" (as per "click to finish/launch") from MAGIX, but when I try to enter and use the previous code I purchased and used before (on my first video which required and activation code) the software response is that the code I entered is not a valid activation code!
My question is: With MAGIX Movie Editing Pro 17, do I always have to purchase a new activation code every time I produce (finalize) a new video? . . . . (from duplicated question)
Is the project comprised of different video formats or are you trying to export/burn disc in a format which is not the same as the source material?
If the source material is not all of the same format for which you originally activated or you are trying to burn or export to a different format, then yes you may have to purchase further codecs - again this depends on which version of the MEP 17 you bought.
The other possible explanations of why your activation is not being preserved through sessions are
- the activation is not being saved correctly because you do not have the
required permissions ie you are not logged on as an administrator
- when you log on to the computer you are getting a 'temporary profile'
- you are using a registry cleaner on a regular basis and this is removing
some of the MEP registration data.
- you are using Windows 8 - in which case you may have found a
compatability issue - the only option then is to upgrade to MEP 2013
or 2014.
