Hi,

This problem is not new, I got Soundpool DVD from 9 - 15 as 16 is already included in MMM 16 Premium I did not buy.

You will notice Africa is included in DVD 12. Only because of Africa I had purchased this DVD and it did not work in songmaker.

Here is reason and solution, why song maker do not read some styles like Africa or Techno? actually some soundpool dvds are manufactured before songmaker feature was added to MMM 16 or 16 Premium that is why some times can not properly read.

So, what I did to solve this problem? here are few try which work best for you.

1. Copy the Original Soundpool dvd contents on Hard drive or external drive. Never play in original ok.

Example your folder giving trouble AFRICA, copy it and paste it some where such as My Music. inside this folder you may have Bass, Brass, Drums,  Guitar, Key One shots and Vocals. You have to re-save all these folder one by one using any audio software.(painful task) after re-saving put them inside Africa folder that will substitute older folder with new one.

2. Copy the Original Soundpool dvd contents on Hard drive or external drive. Never play in original ok.

Example your folder giving trouble AFRICA, copy it and paste in some where such as My Music. inside this folder you may have Bass, Brass, Drums,  Guitar, Key One shots and Vocals.(or different one). Now all you have to do is just change the name from AFRICA to anyone working fine Example:

Ambient
Chillout
Disco
House
Easy Listening
Hip Hop
Minimal Electro
Movie Score
Alternative
Rock

but not exact such as HOUSE make it House_2 and remember you have made this folder for Africa. Look at the new name there is extra _2, this will make it different but work fine in song maker.  Note if you save project and later delete this newly created folder in that case your project file if load in Magix will not be read. Therefore, it is up to you to remember what changes you have made.

NOTE: If you have purchased soundpool such as only one item or more from other website and are rar/zip, please remember, first extract them and their BPM MUST be same as of your Originals. OR you can also add any folder individually with different BPM using Add styles. 

Or final and last method.

3. Use Reset Soundpool and try luck some times it work but not always, Click "Y" on Keyboard, under General tab, click on Reset Soundpool, later you have to use Add styles in Media pool to add whatever you want.

To me the second method work best.
