Delay between pressing keys and sound?

Your question refers to… Music Maker

When pressing a key (in keyboard mode), there is a long delay between pressing the key and the sound you hear... How to resolve?

remark: delay is the same if i press via de mouse the keyboard on the screen, or via the qwerty keyboard or via my external keyboard....; The feedback on the screen of they key pressed is instantaneous; only the sound is delayed...

Hi,

You did not mention which OS, Windows xp, vista or 7 (or Mac) you use.

Which software you are talking about?

I assume you are facing problem in Magix Music Maker.

Problem like yours occurs in audio when buffer time is short (latency) all you have to adjust latency or if you have any extra audio interface attaced you could also change your buffer time.

You got some options

Click on "Y" (for magix music maker) Program settings window will appear click on Audio/Midi tab and look at left side and choose setting for Latency(audio driver). If you want to look at screen shot check my answer here

Go to Control Panel/Sound and make adjustment in Play and Recording.

Check your audio interface if you got any.

Hope this answer might help you

Thank you
