Though I do not use Photostory but I give you some hints.
Is this first time you face problem playing DVD you made by Photostory?
YOur DVD is based on Video, Photos or both.
Only Mpeg video format on some software need extra plugins.
It seems Photostory works fine and your DVD should work well becuase there isn't any difficult thing as per Magix.
For all disc types (DVD, (S)VCD, miniDVD, etc.
Creates CDs with SCSI or IDE CD-R(W) burners, DVDs with DVD+/-R(W) burners and Blu-ray
Discs with Blu-ray burners.
When we burn CD or DVD on computer we got options for computer usage or DVD player or both, during burning did you find any such function if not you can do one more thing.
I am sure you will be playing your DVD on external DVD player and TV is connected with it. In that case check if there is any kind of setting needed on player.
Usually CD/DVD burned for computer usage will not play on external players.
I also hope you had burned DVD not CD some times CD create problems on players.
