Firewire adaptor

Please,

I have an old Sony camcorder and the firewire that fit the camcorder do not fit the computer that ruin windows 7, by the other way the one that fit the computer do not fit the camcorder,

Do some body know if there is an adaptor to solve the problem?

I think Sony called their connection iLink... maybe doing a search for ilink to firewire ... 

I believe they are identical anyway, but this way maybe you can get the right cable
