Hi I'm new to this program and I just installed it I went to try to record my first session and it gave me this error msg the waveform input device microsoft sound mapper can't record this format can any one help?

I had the same problem and used the advice offered by nihon94 in a reply to thechrong. Click on Options/System Audio and the Easy Setup dialog box appears. In the Sound Card and Driver section I had the computer's sound card selected. Change this to ASIO Magix Low Latency. This should also change the setting for Audio Input and Output to Magix Low Latency.

Seems to work fine now.
