How do you cut bits & pieces out of multipule videos?

I'm trying to make a highlight film for my son, we have multipule dvd and I just brough Movie Edit Pro 15.  I hate to say it, I'm struggling!

On each DVD you'll find VOB-files under VIDEO_TS. Copy them to the harddisk, and then you can find them in Mediapool and drag one by one to the timeline (MEP 14+). Or you can drag each VOB to a new Timeline.
Now the movie can be cut where you want it (with the letter T), or you can try using the Scene detection to cut it automatically.
One way now is to copy the choosen scenes to a new Timeline.
I advice you to start with a small file and experiment a lot to learn the program. There are so many possibilities you will appreciate. When experimenting, don't be afraid of destroing the original file. It will never be changed. All you do, is saved in separate "Working files".
