The best way is to zoom in on the tracks as much as necessary to get the precision you need. If there is more than one object in a track, or you need to move multiple tracks, it's best to group the objects first.
Group/Ungroup is a very powerful and useful feature. Objects can be grouped and ungrouped any number of times in any possible combination. It can be accessed through the menu, but CTRL+L/M is much faster.
While holding the CTRL key, pick and highlight all objects you would like to copy. Then, hit the keys (CRL + L). This will bind all of the chosen objects into a "group". As you will see, when you click on one of the objects in a group, all of the objects in that group will also be highlighted.
Then, the group can be moved or copy and pasted all together as a unit. You can paste as many times as needed.
To ungroup, simply click on any object in the group to highlight it, then hit the (CTRL + M) keys. They will then be separate objects again.
