RE: DVDs cut don't play
@rickduley Hi Rick, Thanks for the images; everything appears "normal" there! And for listing the type of disc. But are they DVD+R or DVD-R? In my experience, for single-layer -R are "better", i.e. produce fewer failures. What about the other

RE: DVDs cut don't play
@emmrecs Hi Jeff I have tried both -R and +R in both single and dual layer.I have not used re-writable for DVDs having had bad experienced with them just filing data. Anyway, I don't think anyone in the remote wilds of Perth would have DVD-DL

RE: DVDs cut don't play
Does this ring true to you fellas?Have we been barking up the wrong tree? Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation sold Verbatim to CMC in 2020. Even prior to that some Verbatim were actually CMC. I use Nero Disc speed to check what discs actually are. I

RE: cannot burn dvd+R
I recall DVD-R was more reliable to burn successfully in consumer DVD burners. Try winding the burn speed right back to 4x. You could also try "burning" to the image recorder/ISO and then using IMGBurn to burn the ISO. This might also be of interest

RE: cannot burn dvd+R
@George-Thomas4145 Welcome to the Magix user to user forums. Assuming you are using a version of Movie Studio (which one and which edition, by the way?) to burn a video to DVD it would be very useful if you were able to show a screenshot of any

Thanks so much, John, for your excellent help, again! Yes, I meant to type blu-ray, it might have auto “corrected” me, I do know the difference.I’m wondering if burning to the previous DVD-R with the higher speed was causing the problem or maybe it

ProX will not write to DVD DL discs
I use ProX to write recorded movies to DVD. Writing to ordinary DVDs is fine but for longer movies I need to write to write to Dual Layer Discs. I have tried both DVD+R DL and DVD-R DL discs and all I get is an error dialog saying that the disc

RE: 2026 Manual doesn't agree with program - Split Photostory, etc.
Now I'm having trouble burning a disk. I have Sony DVD-R 4.7gB disks. I choose the AVCHD 1920x1080 NTST default and all encoding and I get a message about my graphic card needing to be updated because hardware encoding is deactivated?

RE: ProX will not write to DVD DL discs
@CubeAce @johnebaker There seems to be a marked reticence amongst Burner manufacturers to assert that their Burner will work with DVD+R DL and/or DVD-R DL discs. As far as I can tell, this is my external burner

I appreciate your questions. Basically it stops at the same point on the DVD-R on each burn. But it loads completely if I export it as a video file to an external drive. I'll follow your suggestions and see what happens.

RE: 2026 Manual doesn't agree with program - Split Photostory, etc.
Re your comment above, I have another problem. The Sony DVD-R disk I burned, that I mentioned above, the AVCHD, doesn't play back on my home BlueRay player. I get the main menu screen with the two story lines switchable and it looks great in HD.

@doane Hi . . . . it might have auto “corrected” me . . . . Auto correct can be a nuisance, I have to be careful when I send messages in German, can be embarrassing! 😮 . . . . getting a good copy on a DVD+RW (very slow 2x) I should be able to copy
