RE: Does SoundForge (17) include playback speed control?
Hi @Chayim-Alevsky, most all versions of Sound Forge Audio Studio and Pro have the "Rate" (aka, scrub) playback slider at the center/left/bottom of the timeline. The J, K and L keys can also be used to control the tool There are also two

Hi @Sheryl-DeMott, Copy/Paste? Can you upload an example to a file sharing site (like Google drive or Dropbox). When I need to extend a sustained note (at the end of a song for instance), I typically use"Process> Time> 'elastique Timestretch".

timestretch or speeding up a song
I have a very old version of Magix Music Maker (2005) and downloaded the free 2025 trial to see if I liked it and I cannot figure out how to speed up a song/track that I added to my project. It was as easy as right clicking on the track and clicking

@Connie-Alexander Hi The trial version does not have all features of the full activated version. IIRC Timestretch is one of them, available until you puchase, activate and dowload/install all the extra features. John EBForum Moderator

RE: Music Maker 2025 Using MiDi Editor Problems Changing Speed Of Tracks.
@Gochikku First try changing the tempo of your song in the transport control under the arranger window. If remember correctly, there is also an option in the menu of the MIDI Editor to change the tempo of the currently edited MIDI-object. But maybe

RE: Importing External Loops, BPM Match
@Ward-Ron There might be a workaround if you create your own Soundpool. For example, look inside one Soundpool folder. There you'll find a bpm.inf. You can edit this file manually with a text editor like Notepad. This file contains the tempo

I've upgraded to ver 17.0.2 build 109 and 'elastique Timestretch will not calculate correctly. The "Original" is always at 10.048 sec no matter how long the project selection is. Trying to get the correct length is now a guessing game.

@ARTHUR-MOE It's possible you need to install Sound Forge 10 or the 32 bit version of SF Pro 16 to get it working again. You can check your computer with a free tool called AnalogX DXMan for all installed DX plugins. I have installed SF Pro 15 64

RE: Extending the end of a sound
@Jacob-Potter Do you mean a reverb effect? Or do you mean something like a granular effect that sounds like freezing the sound in time? Or do you mean something like timestretching to play the sound much slower and therefore longer without changing

RE: Questions on Soundpool Commercial licensing
@dpizza If I remember it correctly Music Maker can only export 16 bit WAV files. You would need to use another audio software like Samplitude for higher quality. I think you need to recreate the track with the high quality WAVs. I don't think it's

RE: Extending the end of a sound
@SP. I believe timestretching would be the best solution as I want to keep the pitch the same. Im not sure what the granular effect is and as for reverb that doesn't do exactly what I would like as I want the end of a loop/mp3/sound to be extended

Hi @brett-h, The fastest-easiest way is to do it would be in Vegas, Hold the Ctrl, key and drag the event end to match that of the video of other audio. If sycn is not an issue, forgo the time change and Vegas will extend the rendered length
