Latency

I have read up on previous questions and none of the suggested fixes seem to work.  I have Music Maker 11.  It worked fine on my old laptop which died, and now I have the same latency issues on my new laptop that I had years ago with mm7 on my old PC.

I've tried 'magix low latency' which gives me an error that says 'failed, device not found' or something similar.

I've downloaded ASIO4all, but when I select it, I can't record any sound.

Will an exterior sound card solve the problem?

 It is no doubt an audio card problem. I would install a new card (remember to disable the on-board one) and make sure you have enough ram to handle this program.
