Magix will not recognize my burner.

I had exactly the same problem, in MEP14, went to burn to a DVD, the DVD window

was blank.  MEP14 came out a few years ago, and wouldn't have today's burners,

so it was necessary to go to this site and find the burner updates.  There were updates

of various dates, in my case, I downloaded the one from 2009.  Once it was installed,

my burner showed up in the window.

I don't believe updating the program itself would have solved the problem, so try

downloading the burner update.

I'd give you the path, but don't have it handy.

 Contact the maker of the burner (find their web site) and see if they have an updated driver for it. Magix uses advanced programing so your burner may not be up to date to handle it.
