Picture quality Horrible on TV

I am using photostory deluxe 8 to create/burn DVD slideshow for TV. On my laptop the photos are perfect quality, however, on the tv the photos look horrible.  The photos were taken with a high resolution camera and were imported directly from the camera.  I was horrified to see facial features distorted almost beyond recognition on majority of photos.  16:9 ratio selected with the wizard.

What am I doing wrong? Have tried reading about pixels, sizing, but it is all greek to me. What settings should I be using to get the best quality on the photos????

Unless you are displaying the pictures on a large screen format TV you should be using 4:3 aspect ratio. The 16:9 is a HD resolution and will distort your photos by forcing them to display at a much higher resolution then they are designed to display at.

  Thanks
