Program keeps freezing when doing the mixdown of video and audio....any solutions?

Your question refers to… Movie Edit Pro

I'm doing a simple 10 min video. I have windows 7.....I have been 2 weeks trying to solve this problem with NO luck!! Anyone else haveing freeze problems with Movie Edit Pro 16?

This is the error box that pops up

Runtime error

files\magix\movieedit.exe

R6025
-pure virtual function call

I have tried disabling anything running in the background such as antivirus softwares etc. I've tried a simple, with no special effects mixing down a 2 minute scene to 4:3 standard Ntsc but again the prgram freezes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I have defraged my hard drive. I have tons of ram and HD space. all updated drivers.

I have always used Magix Movie edit for some time now but have never had the program lock up. So I am a lost here as to the problem. Not only is it locking up but if I try again the program crashes and attempts to restart. all I can do is to keep searching for an answer  :-) I'll try another two weeks, after that I'm retiring to the bahamas!

Did you try this with a new project too?

Meaning start a new project, load in different video or pictures and export... does it lock up still?

  Thanks

No, I have Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus on a Win 7 system.

Let's find out some more about this... as a test if you open a new project, and export that do you freeze?

What format are you mixing down too?

You might want to see if there could be a communications problem within your system. Commonly there are installed softwares that run as you turn your system on. I wrote a .pdf article as a trouble shooting guide, this might also help you.

I am doubtful that the program is in error, it could be that its being terminated by other running protocols, so that guide might be a good solution IF... you cannot export any other program without the same freezing.

If you are able to export other projects, and just not this one... there there is something within this project that is causing the error.
