Hello fellow music lovers

This is my spin on Beethoven's "Sonate Pathetique".   The first part is just piano as Ludwig would have liked but then it becomes something entirely different that may just cause Mr.Beethoven to "roll over"!

I consider this Progressive Rock.  I used 23 tracks , which is more than I have used before.  All  notes were played by me on my keyboard using mostly onboard sounds but a couple of midi sounds as well

Whatever your musical preference may be, I hope you'll take a few minutes to listen .

Thanks

Trish

PS.Smartsmurf gave me the idea for the title.  Thanks, Smartsmurf!

Hi Trish!

A bit strange music.

But I can say I liked it a lot.

Very interesting guitar sounds.

Haha and a great title!

I think it's a project just for fun but it's really nice!

Best regards

Hello Trish, that reminds me of the first attempts "Pictures at an Exhibition" with various electronic means to play ... I think that Mr. Beethoven would find very cool ... !!! - I found your effort accordingly Great ... regards Andi

Beautifully played! I actually think Beethoven would have enjoyed it. There are lots of interesting sounds but the focus is still on the composition. I've heard it said (probably by Rick Wakeman) that synthesizers can be used as part of the orchestra, and I've always liked that idea. And I always seem to enjoy modern interpretations of classical pieces.

Well done, keep it up!

..... This track has certainly made a lot of work. How would Mr.Beethoven compose today, with all these technical tools? What kind of music he would produce? Unfortunately, we will never know.

Hi Trish:

Sorry I came so late to the party...

When I first saw the title, it took me a full half a second to realize that it was a really ingenious play on words.  "Trishonata Pathetique".  Love it!  I also love it when you unleash all of your pianistic, classical skills to the public.  This piece is all yours, and shows why you're such a beloved and respected performer at this forum.  After all, this is mainly a 'symposium' for showcasing music.  And, you bring it each and every time, my dear friend.

This is a lovely performance, Trish.  You deserve all of the accolades...  and more.  Much more.

Hi Trish!

Yes, Griff say all that what I think too. Fantastic and hard work again my dear! I hope, we hear in the next year, so many more music from you and we both can make the track together.

Good idea here from Micha and a great, great work from you! Thank you! A heaven with full of stars! Here I can give you only five - Grrrr! :-)

best wishes and regards to you, Dan and your family

the first part is undoubtedly a classic style and moreover played great, then the song in my opinion ranges from progressive rock to folk music.
in short, a great mix and instrumental sound that I really liked.
let's say that your sophistication in making music is heard in every style you compose music
very well
ah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these days you'll get a different song for a collaboration, my intention would be to do an album, you always go to tea

The piano is extraordinary!   There's no reason to go beyond the piano when one plays as well as you do. The piano is truely amazing!

Das klingt aber alles sehr komisch !

Wollte eigentlich einen Rocksong hören !

Sorry, dass ist nichts für mich.

As you can see at Gyro's reaction... this is still not a rock song.

Still you approach to this Beethoven piece somewhat "rocky"... it's till classic.

I really like it... the sound and all...

Otherwise I have no clue about anything classical... the only melody from Beethoven I know would be "Moonlight Sonata"...

...but as I told you already about my somewhat other sources.
