Hi,(Regarding Music MAker 16 premium)

If you use the provided 'sounds' in the soundpools and make a composition -Without modifiying the rifts but creating a whole new piece of music with the rifts, is it considered a whole new original piece, can it now be sold?

And if some of the rifts are slightly modified does this also count as your own piece which can this then be sold?

What are is the exact situation with the majix logo? How do you obtain this logo, do you have to gain approval for use of this logo?

Thank you for the replies....

Hi,

Thank you for asking good question.

I am sharing my experience and I also suggest for more license details check my Group I created only to provide such information at.

http://www.magix.info/us/user-party.groups.226.html

If you use Music maker/Soundpool , version upto 16 your music composition or derivative could be use in commercial work without any problem.

From Music Maker 17 and Soundpool 17 are no longer Royalty Free for commercial use just for Private use for commercial use extra license is needed.

In some older version of soundpool and Music Maker you might see a message for logo but that is no more needed that is what I am told by Magix.

You could not use Demo/Sample song in commercial work. This is what most people are not aware of.

If you need more help send message.

Information here provided is my own experience which I learned from Magix support. I am not a Lawyer this information is for educational purpose only. For any legal advice better contact Magix support please.

Yes it could be, because it is your derivative work.

And if some of the rifts are slightly modified does this also count as your own piece which can this then be sold?

Yes it could be. Note, we can not sale audio in the Music Maker or in the Sondpool as it is we must have used in the music composition.

What are is the exact situation with the majix logo? How do you obtain this logo, do you have to gain approval for use of this logo?

According to Magix this rule does not apply anymore, in older Soundpool and in older Music Maker version it was a condition.
