It seem that you are havong the same problem as me.  I use firewire nothing seems to work.  Windows 7 shows the camera in 'Devices and Printers' correctly but Edit pro 16 does not see it.    I have downloaded a trial version of Adobe Progam and that too does not detect the camera.   I have now had to resort to using Vista were averything works OK.

The camera is a 6 year old Sony DCR-TRV33.  not really an old model.

Sorry I cannot help but it looks as though we are in the samr boat - with no help available.

Many thanks

When I connect using USB it is recognised as Digital Camcorder and allows me to download the video, however the audio is 5/10 seconds behind the visual, when I connect using Firewire nothing happens.

Guys in the store hardly ever use the software they sell. This is an unfortunate side effect of software sales.

What they are saying may be true for some cameras where as the device is a legacy device or is recognized by Windows as the device name, not something generic.

So, lets look that route first. When you plug this device into the PC, how does Windows recognize the camera? If it is anything other than Panasonis NVGS60EB or something like it then it will need the divers installed.

What if you connect using USB, does it work then?

  Thanks

Many thanks

I have misplaced the disc that came with my Camcorder!!!!

The Camcorder is a Panasonis NVGS60EB, I have tried downloading the correct drivers but with no success, I was told by the store that sold me the Video Easy that the software should recognise my camcorder with no nead for anything else.

  Thanks

Did the camera come with a disc for maybe installing a driver? I wouldn't think Firewire needs that, but... maybe?

Why is the brand of camera?

  Thanks
