For me as soon as i insert kontakt as a soft synth in Acid Pro 8 it just opens a very long bar/tab and locks up Acid Pro..Only way to get out is a hard reset. Have tried on both my laptop and my PC. Same result.. I have a whole bunch of other soft synths / vsts running fine but Kontakt just wont work....

I have to admit I don't use Kontakt very much within AP8, but anytime I do, it works just fine. I have only 64-bit versions of everything though ... no 32-bit AP8 installed and no 32-bit VSTs at all, and on Windows 10 -- I don't know if that makes a difference, but it has been rock-solid with all DAW software since I made that move.

I have a mixture or 32 and 64 bit vsts....i use jbridge for the 32bit stuff and they work fine... but Kontakt just will not play nice for me...I even did a complete re install on a fresh system...no luck....maybe i will remove all 32bit stuff and try again. thanks for your input MrSoundman

MrSoundman what version of Kontakt do you run... I have since installed version 5.6.5 and it works fine. It is only when i install the newer 5.7 that things go wrong and acid locks up......

I'm on Kontakt 5.8.1 x64 (currently the latest).
