Can't see the record box while record screen

Paddy_BIM escrito el 19.02.AM a las 00:13 horas

Hello,
I have a problem, when I record my screen the video recording box disappears. I can't access the window and I am stuck.

Here is me filming my computer with my mobile phone so you can see the problem : https://streamable.com/huvyv

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software, but it still doesn't work.

I would like to say that I tried contacting magix support and I discovered that I need to pay "premium email support" to send them an email. Needless to say I am shocked on how their company works.

Please help me this is very urgent.

Kind Regards,

I tried everything you tried except trying to put my own frame speed into the project but instead used the dropdown menu and selected from there. Maybe therein lies the problem. Stick to whole frame rates. As you can see I ended up with a clip in the timeline. The record box stayed on screen the entire time.

@Paddy_BIM

It may be a problem with the version that you have, which is?

I tried a few versions, but probably not the one that you have. If I uncheck "Display dialog while recording," the dialog box disappears when I click on Record. If I go to the icons in the tray (or sometimes the hidden tray) and click on the recording icon, it goes back to the first screen capture screen. This means that recording has stopped. If I now click on OK, the dialog screen closes and the click that was recorded is placed on the timeline.

If I don't uncheck "Display dialog while recording," the dialog box stays on the screen, whereas in your case, it disappears. However, try following it through to see if it actually did record.

I have Magix Video Deluxe Plus version.

I can't access the Dialog Box. You can see the dialog box, and then it disappears. It's not in the system tray, where it should be. I can't click on it. As you see in my video, even when I ALT+TAB and select the window, nothing happens.

Even when I am on 2 screens

Please help me.

Windows 10 home and Movie Edit Pro Premium 18.0.3.261 (UDP3). This is a feature that has worked before. I use it frequently. This is not the first time this has happened. Just doing a simple screen recording (not a web chat). I tend to have the most issues after there is an update by Magix. Not sure if there was an update recently though.

Hi,

during record screen most software use hot key to stop or pause recording i assume this is the same for Magix check the hot key for the recording.

Please help me.

Magix support sent me the following instructions. It worked although I had to reset up my program settings and re-download items. I tried to use the settings back up option .bak but did not know how so I did everything manually.

Thank you for your message. Please go to "File > Settings > Reset program settings to default" and restart the program. Now press F9 key in order to reset the window settings and then try again to use the screen capture function and check if the problem persists.
