Export MP3 Audio

Hello,

I purchased Movie Edit Pro a few months ago. Now it made me update to the 2022 version. After doing that, I tried to export mp3 audio from a project I edited - something I have done many, many times in the previous version.

It did the normalizing step and then an error code came on saying I had to update the graphics card driver? What does that mean? (I checked the driver and it's updated. I also restarted the computer and still had the same issue - although no error message now...it just does the normalizing and then stops???)

I exported a full 91 minute video earlier today with no problems. AND, this is audio only so what would the graphics card have to do with it? Please help me fix this in the new version. Thank you in advance!

Hi.

I think the warning is a generic one that pops up. If the program didn't replace a graphics card in the settings then it wasn't that.

The mp3 export problem has been know about and reported to Magix since the first version of MEP 2022. It has still not been fixed.

This is a common misconception - the program does not force you to update - there are three options to choose from: close the popup message - program does not get updated, update later - program updates on close, and update now - program closes immediately and updates.

As @CubeAce has commented exporting to MP3 is a known issue. The workaround is to export as wav and use an audio converter.

Is there only audio only on the timeline or a video/image track in the project?

Which export preset did you use and which parameters did you change (if any)?

Hi,

Save your projects. As a temporary workaround, and probably what you should do anyways if all you want is audio, is to do a Mixdown of the audio, Shift+D. This replaces your audio with a wave file on the timeline. Save the HDP to Audio Temp or somewhere else, continue, and Music Editor 3 will open with the wave file. Do any last cleaning and mastering here. Then, Export to MP3.

Exit ME3, don't save unless you want to, and you'll be returned to MEP. If you want the original audio back, do an Undo right away.

Thank you all for your input. I will act accordingly. ALSO, I received this message from Magix support with another simple suggestion for anyone else facing this dilemma:

Thank you for your message. This problem is already known. It only affects the English version of the program so you could basically workaround the problem by changing the program to German for example via "FIle > Settings > Language" and then change it back to English after the export. We will fix this as soon as possible. We are sorry for any inconveniences.

Only happens in English?

It can only happen with Magix!
