Thanks for that I think Im pretty sure I figured it out now I changed the bit rate from 2500 to 8000 ended up being a total of 14964 in the video file properties for some reason but the quality was a bit better and passable mind you the game I play doesn't have the best video quality either anyways thanks again :)

There are several issues here starting with the recording settings for OBS ie:

1. HEVC is not the best codec to capture in - it is a highly compressed video format.
2. Bitrate setting of 2500 Kbps is too low for good quality with HEVC - you should be looking at 6000+ Kbps.
3. Audio samplerate while acceptable at 44.1 Khz, is better if you use 48Khz
4. Output resolution is too low - this is slightly better than 720p (HD) .
5. Upscaling of lower resolution video to Full HD (1920x1080) or 4K does not gain any quality and the exported video may show artefacts/blockiness and be more blurred.
6. There is no mention of the framerate type and value - if the captured video is variable frame rate then you must change this to Constant and the fps should match your monitor frame rate.

Personally I do not like using OBS for screen capture, I found it puts too much load on the PC and IMHO is not the best for quality I use ScreenCast-o-Matic (paid for version) and if you look at any of my tutorials in the Tutorials section of the forum you will see the quality I get.

When exporting from MEP there is no need to change the settings in the presets - these are optimised for best quality vs file size.

@DDA does not state he is using HEVC so it could well be H.264, and he does say it is 60fps in his screenshots, in which case 2500kps is a very low bitrate.

I am not using HEVC any more and I've been using H264-NVENC (VBR) at 60fps with 100 Quality

The latest version of OBS collaborated with Nvidia. If you use a later model Nvidia GPU and the recommended Nvidia NVENC settings (e.g., Max Quality, Look-ahead), the results can be quite good with low CPU usage. (In fact, I get better results with OBS's new NVENC H.264 than with Nvidia's H.265.)

I'm using a GTX-1650 Super, which uses the Turin Hardware encoder. I record screen at 1080p, 30 fps, and use about 15% CPU and about 35% GPU. That's with a lowish BW settings, which implies I am making the encoder work harder to compress more.
