Simplicheck

Reinstalling my original version of MEP 2013 also installed simplicheck. It sounded like a useful product so I gave it a whirl. I told it to scan and it came back with several potential issues. I've been in the computer business in excess of 50 years. My first PC was the TRS80. I have been burned in the past by programs that claim to fix things on your computer only to find out that they really messed things up. And I don't find out about them until months down the road.

So, here's my questions and concerns. When I see the results from simplicheck I get a screen only with a summary. That is, just counts of the number of issues. Then there's a link that will 'Fix all problems'. Well, I'm not going to turn over my computer to a general purpose vacuum cleaner. I presume there is no way to have simplicheck pause before each operation it plans to undertake to allow me to either allow/disallow each step it plans to take? Is there even a way to get it to spell out each issue it has uncovered?

Thanks.

Hi

My advice would be to not use the program and uninstall it. At 10 yrs old it is 'obsolete and running on any version of Windows is IMHO risky .
