Sorry for the rather violent title, but Indeed I’m dissappointed with the latest update to version 2019.
Let me explain. Recently I’bought, online, Video Deluxe Premium 2018 as a replacement for Sony Vegas Pro 13.
Version 2018 which was downloaded, worked very well with my hardware ( intel i7-6700, 16Gigs of ram and intel HD Graphics 530 for secondary monitor and Radeon R9 380X for main screen)
I work only with 4K 30 and 60fps footage. With my harware setup I noticed that Video Delux Premium 2018 used it at its full potential : Quicksync on the HD 530 for rendering and Timeline acceleration with the Radeon. A 20 minutes 4k film at 30fps was rendered in just 40 minutes (CPU load at +-40%, intel HD graphics 530 load at 50% for UHD MP4 rendering, Radeon R9 380X load at 30% for timeline reading). That was before the update.
Now, with the 2019 version, the same film needs 96 minutes to render (CPU load at 70%, intel HD 530 barely at 5%, Radeon R9 380X a little 2%), so a huge reduction in performance (96 minutes versus 40 minutes render time). How comes ? Even with the latest Intel and Radeon drivers.
More over the same project which took only a few seconds to load now takes more than a minute to load.
So I decided to roll back to the 2018 version, which I more or less succeeded in (hardware performance is OK again), but the program crashes somewhere in the midldle of the rendering : it says Something like a memory leak error : a part of the memory has been addressed where it was not supposed to, and the rendering stops. So I’m in a very annoying situation ; the old version doesn’t work anymore and the new version is utterly frustrating.
Is the any way to send me the old version back ? (I remember there were 2 minor updates after the first install)
Or is there a way to make the new version work better ? (I noticed that the problem lies in the way the timelime is read : the GPU is barely used, whereas in the previous version the GPU was intensely used.
Looking forward for your reply and, hopefully, a remedy
Best regards
