Grazie Franco

A new journey through the lands of music in a continent where the excesses of beauty
and brutality are commonplace, a dream of my mind turned to music.
I hope once again to have been the height of your always demonstrated confidence

Excellent!  I love the drum rythms with the low pitched bowed stringed instrumentation.  The flute added a very good effect.

Woven seamlessly like a tapestry.  A tone poem moving forward through changing scenery.

Hola ... Compartimos un gusto por este estilo de musica que tan bien haces,es especial y suena muy potente,es como tantas veces muy visual para mi....Encantado de escuchar.

Nickillus ha scritto il 22.11.2015 ore 18:53

Elegant and beautiful sounds as always, but with a different ethnic flavour this time, driven by those drums and flutes.  The deliberate interplay of instruments to give morphing discords is at times very unsettling.  Another absorbing soundtrack from your global vista.

Cheers,
Nick

Hi Franco,

Once again, you music has accomplished what it set out to do...draw the listener into the place of it's reference.  Pulling the imagination to enter into it's grasp.

Great piece.

Wow... Franco!

I was there, in Africa, right now with this song!

The feeling is very tribal, almost like a small community on the brink of extinction (The clickity clack, and fast paced drums match with the lead flute sounds makes for the feel of western mans influences taking over/invading them for there Diamonds. Which is very much what we unfortunately do)

It wasn't until I finished this song that I thought, was that really 7 minutes worth of music? You cast your musical prowess so well, that time stands still, yet it also somehow passes.

Beautiful!

I always love your music and to be honest, am fearful of commenting. The same goes for Griffster, Norbert, Brenda, Nickillus, Beamish Spartano, Genelythgow, pretty much everyone else as I am not up to your standards in my own personal development yet.

But I love to give an opinion when you are asking me for it, I don't feel as though I am imposing and giving critique to someone that knows I am a "noob".

Sonorita' intense e suggestive, tipiche atmosfere del continente africano, fascino e contraddizioni descritte con la tua grande abilita' musicale.

Anche questo e' un grande album.

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

TrishM ha scritto il 24.11.2015 ore 13:41

Hi Franco

I have to agree with many of the other comments that this song sounds very mysterious and mystic.  You have used extreme dissonance between instruments from both ends of the spectrum (high and Low) to create the atmosphere of tension and perhaps even a little confusion.

I thought the comment of Neatly 2015 about the job interview was funny and appropriate.  We can all picture in our minds what we think is happening in a song, what the song reminds us of or what memories it can brings back to us. This song and the instruments you use is adapted well to the subject you have chosen.  Nice work, as always
