When I upgraded to Photostory 2023 the main reason was because I understood there was a spell checker. Link https://www.magix.com/gb/photo-graphic/photostory/new-features/#c1664361 Well I have not been impressed with the performance of the 2023 version but I dont see any evidence of a spell checker. Its certainly not working nor can I see a setting to activate it. Have I been misled, any help greatly appreciated.
The only reference that I can find to any mention of spell-checking in the 2023 version page you linked is this:
it also corrects small spelling mistakes
I think the key word there is small. As such, I would not expect it to be anything like a full-scale spell-checker, sorry! Hence, I honestly don't believe you have been misled.
Perhaps you might consider creating a Support Ticket to ask about this feature and whether it is working as the developers intended? To do so, start with the Support header in any forum page, follow through each succeeding page, always choosing the option to Ask Support or Email Support.
The only reference that I can find is the same as that indicated by Jeff. The full sentence is, "The new search feature helps you not only find the correct effects and templates even faster – it also corrects small spelling mistakes." This is under Search Feature, not Text. As shown in the image below, minor spelling errors in the search box will still return most likely effects and templates.
A spell checker for Text would be nice, but this is not it.
Yes I see I've been misled by myself, yes there is a spell checker in the search facility. Thats not a critical requirement I must say but there you are. Must read more closely next time though.
