App Crashes when FX are Used on Vocals

Since upgrading to the 2026 Premium Edition, every time I try to mix down with FX turned on for any vocals, the app crashes. It simply will not mix down with FX turned on. I was able to work around it at first with just leaving off the EQ, but now even without EQ, if ANY FX are turned on for vocals, the app crashes upon any mixdown attempts. With FX turned off, I can mix down no problem. This app has become more and more unstable with time and it's super frustrating.

I am running a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4, using the Focusrite ASIO.

@producer2000 In case there are cache problems you could reset the program settings under the File > Settings menu.

Other things you could try:

- restart your computer via the Restart option and not the Shut down option

- check Windows for errors and repair it via the Windows command prompt. First type
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and press Enter and when it's done type type sfc /scannow and press Enter.

- some users reported that the new MIDI2 feature in Windows crashes Music Maker and their MIDI interface. It helps to disable the MIDI2 services, see here for details: https://www.magix.info/us/forum/music-maker-2026-frozen-at-setviews-during-startup--1352431/#ca2008691
