Blu Ray burn aborts because Menus fail to render

I posted this question yesterday (30.8.2009) and I can find no trace of it on the forum. So, I am trying again.

Briefly, I find the menu layout feature very hit and miss. I found, in attempting to burn my first Blu-Ray disc, that the operation is aborted every time due to failure to render the menu. I have also found that the preview for animated menus usually fails.

I noticed in the manual a warning that no menus will be added to Blu Ray discs. So, I tried burning to a DVD instead. In this case, it burned a static menu, but failed to include the still image background I had imported.

Is there a bug with the menu creator program? Does anybody have any advice.

There does appear to be a bug with 'animated' menus. I switched to 'static' menus (in the tree on the left), and it built. The forum does have stuff on this - but no date for a fix is mentioned.

Happened to me too. It's a problem since MEP 14+.

Relax. They'll probably have it fixed in MEP 17+... Ha, ha, ha!

Just realized I'll have to pay for the fix!
