Sounds like the disc you were using was not a blank disc, it had information already on it.

Try inserting a new, blank disc to see if that remedies the burn issue.

yeah, hard as it seems, sometimes those comments a program throws up mean exactly what they say. It's always a good starting point.

Make sure the disc is actually blank... try another disc and if that also has a problem, try a different brand disc. Media manufactures can have different sets... including the dye that is used on the back of the disc... I recommend clear... just a reflective silver or gold back disc. They seem to work the best.
