burning with Magix movie edit pro 17

i can't burn my movie, because mep 17 either stops responding half way through the burning and then shuts down or when it does burn my project it only burns half of it, though when i play it through the timeline it all plays - can anyone help me because i am going through loads of dvd's and getting nowhere

Without further information it is difficult to tell what is going on. 

What are the file types on the timeline?

Do you have a mixture of video and audio file types?

Have you tried burning the video to the hard drive using the image burner option? 

Are you being asked to encode all etc after the first burn? - if so make sure you select Encode all and re-render all.

To avoid wasting DVD discs try using rewriteable DVD-RW discs - they save you time and money.

the files are vob files, when i start to burn i get - VTS_01_1.vob should the existing file be used for the film sicily, they are just video files

Thanks John i re-rendered  and encoded all and it works, the re-render was ticked  so i unticked it
