Hi

MEP 17 has now been superceded by MEP MX.  Although MEP 17 will be available hopefully at reduced price from many retailers.

I recommend you download the trial version of MEP MX Premium and give it a try. Make sure you have the latest QuickTime installed before installing the trial, register the trial and extend the trial.

Download the extras you need - this should be on the welcome screen..

If you decide to purchase I recommend you get the boxed Premium version (of any version of MEP).  You get the disc, and a short form manual.

If you do buy the boxed version, then uninstall the download version and use the cleaning tool here to remove remnants left behind by the uninstaller.  Reboot your computer and then installed your full version.

HTH

Check and see if you have Apple QuickTime installed.  I had the same problem with MEP16+.

Hi John,

According to the Magix order form, at least in the U.S., and confirmed by their customerservice, MEP18 MX Premium version is available for purchase only by download; they say that's because of the 3 additional add-ins included in this version.

Have you tried any of the 3 add-ins?  I saw videos of two of them; they look interesting, just not sure how they'll actually work, since they're not available in the trial version.
