Can Magix Pro 17 slow down 1080/50p format?

Hello

I am thinking to purchase Magix 17 but I wanted to know if I can slow down 1080/50p video clips filmed in Panasonic HDC-SD900.

I need to slow down video clips to around 20% of the original speed so I really want to be able to use best quality I can get.

Can it also slow down at any speed, say 22%, 25% or 18%?

Hi

First - Movie Edit Pro 17 has just been superceded by Movie Edit Pro MX.

Both have the ability to slow down video, the amount you want to slow down by is well within their capabilities and can handle the AVCHD file format - however you do need a powerful computer to get the best performance eg Intel i5 or i7 quad core, 8+Gb RAM  64 bit Windows a good ATi or Nvidia graphics card and preferably a large capacity second internal hard drive to store and edit the videos on.

MX has a wider range of speed variation keeping the audio connected however the sound also slows down as you would expect and has better frame interpolation making the slow down smoother.  It also has the ability to ramp up or down the speed of a clip which MEP17 doesnot have.
