I just bought this HP computer and a new magix movie pro17. Tryed to download a VHS into it to re-work and edit, I get this NO RECORDING DEVICE HAVE BEEN FOUND IN YOUR SYSTEM.I don't even get to the video recording menu. I have a lap-top with movie edit pro15 that works. But need more memory and speed to work on my films so I bought a new computer. You think every things would work.Does any body have any idea of what happend to me I also use EasyCap to download to my computer. it works fine on my laptop.

What is EasyCap?

To me, the software is saying is cannot find any recording device. In this case a analog capture device that connects your VHS player to the computer. If that is what this EasyCap is, then it is not being properly recognized by Windows.

Is this new computer a Windows 7 system?

If this EasyCap is the recording hardware, is it Windows 7 compatible?

You can go on Amazon they sell them It work pro15. How do you download fron VHS? I have been using this Easy Cap  plug in to USB. The other end has rca plugs int the vcr. What do you use for VHS?

I am using a USB device from Hauppauge. I have had it a number of years, and I notice they have a new one called the Live2.

I see what the device is, and I think I have one, but mine stopped working when I went to Windows 7 as it was not recognized. I do not think that the Easy Cap is Windows 7 compatible. That might be the issue you are having too.
