cannot import .cda files

I have not been able to import files with the .cda format. Is this format not supported or is there a issue with the software? I have Audio Cleaning Lab 14 with a Vista operating system.

Isn't cda-files the informationfile with which the cd-player knows the names of the tracks?

Why do you need to import it? Because it's there or with a certain purpose?
