Clips with slightly different frame rate desync

I have a clip shot with the samsung s5 camera that reports a frame rate of 30.005 and another shot with a PC camera and a frame rate of 29.97 They get progressive desync during time. I tried to resample both of them using Handbrake before importing them in Magix but it doesn't fix it. What can I do to fix it with Magix Edit Pro? Problem is that desync is not constant but variable thru the clip, it's almost as if the frame rate is not always the same.

Variable framerate video is a difficult problem to fix successfully, there are many forums on the Internet which offer some answers, however the ones I have seen never produced a satisfactory solution to conversion of variable framerate video to fixed framerate and maintain sync.

If Handbrake cannot fix the problem then, AFAIK, there is nothing else better available at reasonable cost.

You could try the following:

Convert the video to fixed framerate using Handbrake.
Extract the audio from the original video to mp3
Import the converted video file into MEP and remove the audio
Import the mp3
Align audio to the video - if necessary use the stretch mouse mode to stretch / reduce the video length to match the audio.

I apologize I probably did not explain my problem clear enough. Just one of the 2 clips has audio, the other doesn't. The problem is not video/audio desync but desync between the video stream from the 2 different clips.

I created a visual sync point instead of audio, using a flashing light, and I can sync but after 7 or 10 mins they start to be desync.

I tried to convert the video to fixed frame rate already but it doesn't fix it.

Is there any other way I could sync these 2 clips video with each other?

I tried slow the clip without audio down but Magix doesn't allow a fine frame rate tuning (ex. from 30.005 to 30.000), just up to the secopnd decimal (30.00).

A friend of mine was able to resync the 2 clips using Vegas 13 pro by timestretching the clip to be played at a speed of 1.002, after that sync was perfect.

Unfortunately Magix doesn't allow to tweak the speed to the third decimal, is there anyway I can achieve that with Magix without having to use Vegas 13?

The desyncing is very slow in this case - assuming the video clip is reasonably long, try using the mouse stretch mode, this will allow you to stretch / shorten by as little as one frame providing you zoom in sufficiently on the end of the offending clip and is more accurate then using the speed control.

This does assume the amount of desyncing is constant, eg it gains/loses 1 frame every 300 frames. If the gain / loss is not constant then you can cut the long clip up into smaller sections and use multiple smaller adjustments using the strtch mode.
