That is odd - I have no problem with MEP17 and Aero.

Which version of Windows 7 do you have and is it 32 bit or 64 bit?

Have you tweaked the Aero settings or changed the default scheme?

Hi

Right click the shortcut/icon for MEP and select Properties, on the tab shown check that you are not running in compatibility mode as shown in the image.  If the check box is as shown - uncheck it and click OK.  Then run MEP again.
