Creating my own scenes

Hi,

I want to be able to create my own scenes (at least I think I do).  I really want to cut up a 30 minute HD video into a 5 minute video by selectiong some of the footage from various parts of it, sticking it all together then adding some decent soundtrack. I don't think I want to to "automatic scene detection", so how do I just select the clips that I want and edit them together (I'm new to the product).

If I need to use automatic scene detection, then how do I "fix" it if I get two scenes that split what I want to call one scene ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

You can do...

First check the introduction video in MEP from Help button (top right) expand menu window and View Introductory Videos you can learn to cut on time line.

You can add chapter marker manually if you not add it MPE add one automatically on the beginning first scene.

If you add too much chapter you can delete it, select and delete.

Scene is a complete or part of movie. When you cut movie you split in scene that means you can create a lot of scene you can group scene together.

Chapter marker is where you place on timeline a specific position (minutes and seconds) like chapter in a manual. Automatically magix create one chapter by default beginning the movie. You can add manually chapter marker as you need. (Shift  Enter)
