Hi,

You need a plyer that can read H.264 this is a codec install Adobe Flash player or QuickTime from Apple website. Also install the last version Window Media 11.

Probably your file is a MP4 using the codec H.264

What Movie Edit Pro version do you have?

Did this once work for you and now it does not?

To me, it sounds as if there is either a corruption during export due to codec issues or other installed software that may have altered the used codec.

I had something like this happen when I installed DVD playback software which came with its own editor, which actually over-wrote my codec used by MAGIX. This forced me to re-install the Movie Edit Pro software.

I would like to clarify also... are you saying regardless of the format you export, the video is just a black screen?

If so, is there anything muted or soloed in the video project?

Thank you to both for your help, I actually discovered the problem last night.  I am using Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus, when I imported the files into the editor, it asked me if I wanted to adjust the project to match the aspect ratio/frame rate to the video I was importing.  If I don't adjust the files when I import, they work just fine.  I'm sure this has something to do with the way they were transcoded for me.  They were originally DVC-ProHD, which my computer won't read, so they were transcoded to H264 for me through Final Cut.

Thanks again, hopefully this thread is useful to someone else in the future.
