File Saves

Sound Forge Audio Studio 14.0 - PC running Windows 10

No matter how I attempt to SAVE a new mp3 file, a SAVE AS dialog box comes up. (Applies to drop down menu, keyboard shortcut & toolbar.) I name it and save it and that's fine, but when I go to close the file Sound Forge insists it hasn't been saved. If I tell it I do want to save it - it brings up another SAVE AS dialog box. I have to tell it not to save the file to close it.

Try enabling/disabling "Always proxy compressed formats"... though I do not know where.. or if.. that is an option in AS (Audio Studio) .
MP3 and other lossy formats are completely re-encoded when saved. It is best to avoid lossy formats in the editing stage all together.
