Freezing in my projects (Program has stopped responding)

VEGAS Movie Studio 16.0.0.175 Platinum
I've been using Movie Studio for several years, but when I upgraded my computer I never expected this.

Here's my current system specs.
New machine...
Device name ALPHA

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 285H (2.90 GHz)

Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.6 GB usable)

Graphics Card Intel(R) Arc(TM) 140T GPU (16 GB)
-- Note: The renders on this machine are 4 times as fast as the OMEGA for video.

Old Machine... (Still using Movie Studio as a DAW.... it's AWESOME!)
My other system that uses Vegas Movie Studio

Device Name OMEGA

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz   3.60 GHz

Installed RAM 16.0 GB

Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (6 GB)

---------------------------------------------->

They both have this issue, but my ALPHA machine is doing it a bit more.

Problem: Plane editing, fades, titles, movie and audio volume adjust and synchronization of three video sources.

It's a three camera shoot bike ride about an hour long. I save like crazy because at any given time while previewing and editing content using the (J + K + L) scrubbing forward and back and stopping to edit and such, suddenly the program just stops responding. Luckily I save like crazy (Ctrl+S) has almost become an obsessive tick for me. I can start the program back up and I'm ok. I've been prompted to install...

VEGAS_Movie_Studio_16.0.0.175_Platinum_INT_x64_Update4.exe
(name may be a little different, I rename to identify it better)

I originally installed the download when I bought it...
vegasmoviestudio16platinum_dlm.exe

I thought as the file indicated, that it was an update, but it behaves pretty much the same.
Any suggestions or know issues you can share about the freezing issue... causes and the like?
