FTP Command Port Failed

I am using Xara Web Designer 10 Premium and have tried many times to upload my site http://thecaptain.magix.net/public but I keep getting the error that the FTP Command Port has failed.  Any suggestions?  I need to do many updates and I have recently (today) purchased additional space and woukd sure like to be able to utilize it!  Thanks!

Hi

Did this happen just after you purchased more space?

If so try again - the FTP may have been offline while the extra webspace was being added. 

If not OK then the error message usually means you have misconfigurred the FTP settings, ie specified an incorrect mode or port to be used.

The settings you should have are:

FTP-Server (Host):           ftp.magix-online.com
Login / username:           Your email address at MAGIX
Password:                         Your chosen password

You should not be setting any other ports or modes, leave them at the default settings.

Also check that you can FTP using the above settings with another FTP program eg Filezilla.

I have tried it all!  Nothing seems to work.  If I try to use this connection through Xara Designer Premium 10:

Address:  ftp.magix-online.com

User Name:  yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

PW: xxxxxxxxxxx

I get something similar with my FTP client, but it does make the connection.  It just doesn't allow it to upload the files!

 

I have used the MAGIX-Online FTP and gotten the website up, but I wish to have a lot fewer steps to get it there, which is why I chose this software.  I have had it working in the past, but it no longer wants to!

 

Please help!  I would like to get it set up so I can move on!

I did rename a couple of files, and from now on will make sure the files are acceptable, however the ftp:command PROMPT failed still keeps comin' up.  I have attempted all possible ways I can think of, with the same result.  I have also submitted a trouble ticket with Xara to see if they have a solution.  It woukd be nice to have this working so I can get the rest of the work done on the site.  http://www.captnaturalee.com   I have manged to upload with the Magix-Online FTP, but it is bulky and takes too much time.  Also when I run the export to .htm it modifies the files whether or not I have changed anything so I can't select the files based on modification time/date.  That doesn't help.

 

Please help!
