How current is the manual that comes with the product?

I'm reading the .pdf manual for Movie Edit Pro MX in Quickstart, Timeline Mode, Playback range.  I can't get the start and end markers by following the instructions.  Also the picture for that paragraph looks like it is in the Storybook mode. Seems like the manual is for an earlier version.

tets,

Sorry I don't have MEP MX on this machine but in all other Magix versions I've used the rang markers have been set but left and right clicks in the region above the timelines. In my Video Pro X2 here, the Help file (F1 shortcut) search for 'marker' gives quite a bit under 'Playback marker' -- the entry at the top of the list!

Agreed, Magix documentation is not their strongest point, but in this case they seem OK.

Regards,

Carl

Thanks, but I stll can't get it.  But there is what they call the "area markers", and they almost act like start and end markers described in the manual. And you are right - In my experience, documentation is not the strong suit of most software makers. It is frustrating searching forums for answers that the manufacturer should provide in their documentation.  Enuff said - that's a whole new subject.
