Unfortunately, if the original encoding contains the grain, then it is very difficult (if not impossible) to remove.

The software does not have any real functions to remove such distortions. You could try adjusting the Sharpness settings, but I doubt this would achieve the desired results.

Really the only way is to go back to the original recordings and transfer then again at a better quality, obviously difficult if the source is something like a VCR player.
