How do i get rid of a loud humm on a home video that I downloaded?

I'm a golf instructor and I made a golf lesson video for one of my students with my Panasonic palmcorder.  I imported the video which came out good but there is a load humm throughout the video.  I tried to remove the humm with the denoiser but still have the humm but not as loud and the pitch of my voice has changed.

Hi,

The best way is to remake the sound track.

1) Use a word processor to type your narration, you play the original video and type text, polish the text and pratice few time to obtain a good result, when ready.

2) Use a headset micro and adjust level 0 decibel or just orange level for maximum.

3) Pay attention to noise from neon, door, water before to record. (no background sound like ventilation, TV)

4) Open your Magix video software, mute the original sound track or turn off speaker. Click the record button on the view movie window, this open a window to record only the sound.

Play the movie when you record and try to synchronise your voice.

You can adjust the record level using the sound Mixer in the magix software.

Attention to sound coming from computer, you can isolate or move it rear the door room or a sleeping bag to cover it.

Regards,

Hi,

It's ultimately going to depend on whether the unwanted sound is sufficiently different to the wanted material. Did you first try simply dropping the base right down in the Equaliser?

And methodically try relevant preset options under Equalizer > Preset and Compressor > Function (and Stereo FX > Preset?

Presumably none of that worked and you then used the Denoiser. Can you give more detail of the steps you took? I've found that fairly successfulI, by isolating a section of the hum and adding it to my set of options under Denoiser > Advanced.
