How do I import a dvd from disk to the program?

Just purchased the program and I am trying to import the video from the dvd-rw that my video camera records to. The camera no longer works so I can not usee a cable from the camera.

Is there a way to import so I can save and edit the video directly from my dvd player on my computer? When I insert the mini dvd into my player on the computer the video plays fine.

A normal DVD (small or normal) contains a folder VIDEO_TS, where you will find one or more files with endings .VOB. Copy them to your harddisk. Then in MEP go to Import and find them to the right of the screen and drag them down to the Timeline with the mouse.
